Got Questions?

Common questions about working together, project scope, and how I approach website development.

Question

What types of websites do you build?

Answer

I specialize in custom WordPress websites designed for performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Most projects involve fully custom themes built to match a brand’s design system and business goals rather than relying on pre-built templates or heavy plugin stacks.

The focus is typically on marketing websites, professional services websites, and brand-driven digital platforms that require flexibility, performance, and strong search visibility.

Question

Do you redesign existing websites or only build new ones?

Answer

Both.

Many projects begin as redesigns of existing websites that have become difficult to maintain or no longer represent the organization well. In those cases, I evaluate the existing platform and determine whether it should be rebuilt, restructured, or migrated to a more stable architecture.

The goal is always to create a system that is easier to maintain and more effective for the business long-term.

Question

Do you only work with WordPress?

Answer

Most of my work is built on WordPress because it provides an extremely flexible foundation for custom development and content management.

However, the approach is typically plugin-minimal and custom-built, focusing on performance, maintainability, and long-term stability rather than relying on off-the-shelf page builders.

Question

Do you provide SEO services?

Answer

Yes — primarily from a technical and structural perspective.

Most of my projects include work on site architecture, content structure, metadata, performance optimization, and technical SEO fundamentals. I often collaborate with clients or marketing teams to ensure the website supports search visibility from the beginning.

The focus is on building a strong technical foundation that allows content and marketing efforts to perform effectively over time.

Question

Do you work with agencies?

Answer

Yes.

I frequently collaborate with agencies as a front-end developer, UX consultant, or technical partner. In those cases I work within an established design system or brand framework while focusing on implementation, performance, and usability. Many of the projects in my portfolio were completed in collaboration with agencies.

Question

Do you provide website maintenance?

Answer

Yes.

After launch, I can provide ongoing support that includes updates, performance monitoring, hosting guidance, and technical improvements as the site evolves.

Some clients prefer occasional project-based support, while others maintain an ongoing maintenance relationship.

Question

How long does a typical project take?

Answer

Project timelines vary depending on complexity, but most custom website projects take between 6 and 12 weeks from planning through launch.

Smaller sites or microsites may move more quickly, while larger projects involving complex content structures or integrations may take longer.

Question

Can you migrate or fix an existing website?

Answer

Yes.

A significant portion of my work involves rebuilding or stabilizing websites that were originally built using heavy plugin stacks, outdated systems, or fragile hosting environments.

In those cases the focus is often on simplifying the architecture, improving performance, and creating a more maintainable platform.

Question

What industries do you typically work with?

Answer

I’ve worked with clients in healthcare, architecture, construction, legal, manufacturing, and equine and veterinary organizations, but I’m not limited to those industries.

No matter the industry, every project starts with understanding the client, their audience, and the specifics of their business. That allows me to build websites that clearly communicate expertise, support real business goals, and stay easy to manage as the organization grows.

Question

How do I get started?

Answer

If you’re considering a project, the best place to start is with a conversation about your goals, timeline, and current website. From there I can help determine the most effective approach — whether that involves a full rebuild, structural improvements to an existing site, or strategic guidance for future development.
