Peterson Smith Equine Hospital + Complete Care required a digital platform that reflected its rebrand led by STEWART while reinforcing its position as a leading equine veterinary practice. The goal was to translate the updated identity into a website experience that felt authoritative, organized, and adaptable over time. I designed and developed a fully custom WordPress theme aligned with the new brand standards, turning the visual system into a structured digital platform built for clarity, consistency, and long-term flexibility.
The site architecture was organized around clearly defined service lines, including ambulatory care, internal medicine, surgery, and specialty disciplines. Each service line was color-coded and dynamically applied across templates, creating a consistent visual language throughout the site while allowing content to adapt automatically based on service taxonomy. This helped establish a stronger organizational system across the site and made it easier for users to understand the hospital’s areas of expertise while keeping the interface visually cohesive.
The design prioritizes clarity and authority, balancing clinical precision with a more approachable experience for visitors seeking information about services, specialists, and care options. Structured content modules were developed to allow practitioners, services, and resources to populate dynamically across pages, reducing manual maintenance and improving consistency across the site. This modular approach also gave the internal team a more efficient content management experience while preserving the integrity of the design system.
By combining a custom WordPress build with taxonomy-driven styling and reusable content structures, the platform was designed to support both current needs and future growth. The result is a cohesive, brand-aligned website engineered for long-term flexibility, performance, and operational efficiency. It gives Peterson Smith Equine Hospital a stronger digital foundation, making it easier to manage complex content while presenting the practice with the level of professionalism and structure expected from a leading veterinary organization.
