Overview

Ritchie Industries launched the “Standing Water Bites” campaign to raise awareness about the risks of mosquito-borne diseases while reinforcing the value of its automatic waterers, which provide fresh water for livestock and help reduce exposure to standing water. The campaign microsite was created to connect that product benefit to a broader health and safety message through a more engaging, awareness-driven digital experience.

The microsite was originally designed by Casey Cooke, who established the creative direction and overall visual approach for the campaign. I was brought in to execute the front-end development, translating that design into a responsive, interactive build that preserved the impact of the creative while ensuring the experience functioned effectively across devices and screen sizes. The goal was to maintain the energy and visual clarity of the campaign while delivering an implementation that felt polished, intuitive, and technically sound.

The development focused on preserving the strength of the campaign visuals while supporting smooth performance and usability. Motion, transitions, and interactive elements were implemented with careful attention to pacing, clarity, and responsiveness so the experience remained engaging without becoming distracting or difficult to use. That balance was especially important because the microsite needed to communicate an educational message while still feeling dynamic enough to capture attention and reinforce the campaign theme. Each interaction was approached with an emphasis on maintaining clarity, supporting the message, and keeping the experience cohesive from section to section.

The result is a focused campaign microsite that clearly communicates the risks associated with standing water while connecting that issue back to Ritchie Industries’ product value in a meaningful way. By pairing strong creative direction with thoughtful front-end execution, the final experience delivered a polished and technically sound campaign presence that supported awareness, reinforced the safety message, and extended the reach of the broader initiative across a clear and engaging digital platform.
