The Zeochem Difference

Zeochem’s website was running on an outdated version of Craft CMS that had become unstable, difficult to maintain, and increasingly fragile. Performance benchmarks were below target, accessibility gaps were present, and the platform was no longer aligned with modern web standards. I recommended a full rebuild to establish a more secure, scalable foundation designed for long-term stability, improved maintainability, and future growth.

The project involved reconstructing the existing design as a fully custom WordPress theme with no unnecessary plugin dependencies. Rather than layering fixes onto an aging system, the rebuild focused on creating a cleaner architectural foundation that would improve both technical performance and day-to-day usability. The content architecture was reengineered to support dynamic data population across templates, reducing the need for repetitive manual updates and improving operational efficiency for the internal team. This made the platform easier to manage while also improving consistency across the site.

Performance and accessibility were addressed at the structural level throughout the rebuild. The codebase was modernized, technical debt was reduced, and the platform was optimized to improve Core Web Vitals and align more closely with current accessibility expectations. These improvements were not limited to surface-level adjustments, but were built into the underlying system to support a more stable and resilient website over time.

A dedicated webinar system was also developed using the Vimeo API. Using the API, video pages are dynamically generated from Vimeo metadata and descriptions, which removes redundant content entry while preserving editorial consistency and control. This integration streamlined content management and created a more efficient publishing workflow for webinar-related content.

To support better measurement and reporting, the analytics infrastructure was modernized through a GA4 migration, custom form submission event tracking, and structured reporting in Looker Studio. The result is a stable, high-performing digital platform engineered for efficiency, security, visibility, and long-term scalability.
